Physical education classes are provided in all versions of the Standard Curricula and should be funded and used in full. They are indicated in the schedule of lessons, are taken into account in the pedagogical workload of teachers. Due to the fact that physical education classes in their content and specificity provide motor activity of students and do not require excessive mental effort, their hours are not taken into account when calculating the maximum allowable load of students. This allows each class to make full use of all the hours of the variable component of the Standard Curricula, without exceeding the total workload (the sum of the invariant and variable components). The schedule of lessons should take into account the optimal ratio of study load during the week, as well as the appropriate alternation during the day and week of subjects of natural and humanitarian cycles with lessons of art, technology and physical culture.

Physical education classes in educational institutions are conducted by a physical education teacher or a person who has a special education and qualifications: a coach, a group leader, a group, a sports section, etc.
